Cd stuck inside cd player

Hello people,

Right, ive had my 8 for 2 years now, ive always use my own burnt cd's, now only last week it got stuck inside for some reason and mazda do not cover the warrant because it is a cdr

Is it hard to take the unit out? is there any diagrams?

Thanks

Challenge Mazda on the warranty. They need to show you where it says what type of cd must be used in order for the warranty to be invalid. A loading mechanism does not care what kind of cd is used. It makes zero difference at all. If it was a laser mechanism failure that may be something different. What Mazda is basically saying is that rattle you hear in the engine means that there is no warranty on the leaky door seals.

You can also try the needlenose pliers and small common screwdriver trick and try to get it out yourself.

Go to another dealer and don't say it's a CD-R that got stuck inside.

Did you eventually have a label on that CD-R? If yes, it's possible that somehow it'd detach and cause the disc to get stuck. Then I'd see why Mazda would say they don't cover the repair. Otherwise their reasoning is BS.
