From three posts above:
I have an '05 RX-8 and my daughter an '02 Mazda6. Same steering wheel except for the trim. There are a lot of beneath-the-skin commonalities, which is what helps Mazda keep down production costs, e.g. the temp/radio lcd readout panels are identical.

Trust me I have a reason, every action in this world got a reason, now back to my question is it possible to install the mazda 6 steering wheel with the different face plate on to my RX8?

"No reason" was poor phrasing on my part. Of course you have a reason, even if imho it is a seemingly unreasonable reason.
Since they're virtually identical except for cosmetic trim, presumably it is possible to install a Mazda6 wheel (pre-'09) onto an RX-8 (similarly pre-'09).
I would 2nd the recommendation to go with a Sparco tho' for a truly unique look. Allot of bother tho' when dealing with air bag, etc.

Whetever its exessive or not, I just want to know if its possbile? Are the boss kits the same? My current wheel its fuckup, the bottoms dont work any more, and the front plate has scratches and just look old. And I happen to like the Mazda 6 wheel, but i just want to know if it will fit.
