This is an air horn, I guess? I've always had one on whatever I drive - the bluehairs and killer-stereo retards can't hear anything else. Haven't torn into the 8 yet to see where one would fit.

Me? Under $30 for the horn, but I haven't found one yet that has a reliable relay, so I end up buying a Bosch relay for $11 too.

Holy jeez, I just searched for the Enzo Classic horn - $100. Sucker born every minute, just cause it's in a Ferrari box.

I just checked the PartsAmerica site - you can get a Fiamm dual horn with compressor, relay, etc. for $25.88. Go ahead and spend $100 for the Ferrari box, I guarantee it's the same horn.
Check here - http://www.wolo-mfg.com/air.htm - for a whole collection of horns complete with sound files

I like the "Ford" horn. Gets people's attention which is really what you want. Much better than the Miata's "meep-meep."

Don't have speakers on this work computer but look forward to listening to the alternatives you posted when I get home.

Hmm. Well, you asked for thoughts, and that's what I think of someone that would blow $75 for a yellow box.

me too...that's why I went the "salvage" way....$38....but ends up I had to send it back for a refund because the stupid people said it was fully functional but the inlet on the high pitch horn was crunched in the accident...that doesn't seem fully functional to me...bastards...anyway got the dough back...

Ferrari does use Fiamm but not for that particlular sound that I was looking for and the guys I know at the dealership are unsure of the manufacturer of the Enzo horn.... i will probably go through partsamerica though to get a horn...

my point being...I like the Ferrari "airy" sound instead of the crappy american TRUCK horn...(don't like the Miata "meep-Meep" either Speed-ER DOC)..trust me...the "Ferrari" sound always gets attention....

I guess the question is, when you hit the horn at someone, do you want them to...

A.) Wave at you and smile, or
B.) Growl at you and get out of the way?

Remember the old Honda Civic "toot-toot" horns?

Air horns are *the* way to go. Nothing wakes up some dozing jackass like a blast from air horns! Great when they're on cellphones too.. sometimes you can even make them scream and swear into their phones

wow...digging up old threads huh?,...lol...i have it but haven't installed it yet...Ferrari's manufacturer is actually Hella..the only one using Fiam is the dealership replacement 360's due to Ferrari actually using a weak sounding electric which people were complaining about not having the Ferrari "sound", I bought the 85105 Dual horn for $35...i have been lazy about this particular mod...i will try to scope it out this week and do an install this coming weekend if I can...I have a project implementation in Atlanta Fri night and Saturday...so I don't know if I will be able to get to it..

If you can I'll love to see a DIY thread on installing Air Horns on our cars. Definitely see this as a future mod.
