What's the point of having one? Seems like more work to me.

Is it the "cool factor" or is there some advantage to this configuration?

No advantages really I think. It's just for cool factor. My Q jenkins....if the button fails ie. broken connection etc. Can you over-ride the start by simply turning the key?

Cool mod tho.

You still need a key to get in the car, so I guess the button is purely for looks. I love my car and its performance, but it doesnt exactly have a roaring engine which starts when you press the button. Maybe a wee bit over the top perhaps

There's a bunch of yellow RX-8 owners who would give their first-born child for that interior...

I wanted the yellow as I thought it had more of a WOW factor. My wife said people would certainly say WOW, Look at that bright yellow car! We agreed on Red, still turns heads every day though.

Yes I have the titanium Grey.... About your question, it is mainly for looks but I am also lazy and like that it bypasses the clutch switch so I don't have to push in my clutch when I first get in and start it up. It also only took about 15 min so it is a neat feature for me :D

i thought of adding this push button start to my car after seeing Jenkins in person, but i have remote start on my car and i'm guess 3 different ways to start the car would be overkill...still might do it though!

how much was that button Chris?

fwiw, it's not a 'stop' button. To 'stop' one just turns the key.

:p

:D

Looks neat!
