crazy horn sounds

okay i just installed a optima red top quick discharger battery and immediately when i ground the negative to the battery, the horn sounds constantly..searched..never heard of this problem..ever..no idea whats going on..

any ideas??

unbelievable..the optima battery positive and negative are opposite as the mazda battery...10 hours straight gets tiring and you won't catch that stuff..damn..someone tell me if a fucked some **** up in my car by doing that..we only had it connected for about 5 seconds and the horn sounded the whole time

uumm you probably have blown some fuses and stuff.. worst case scenario is you fried the computer.. have you tried to start it yet?

no i havent..ill let you know tomorrow though..also, how would you get around this problem..the positive stock wires have zero give on them and have a big plastic connector..so i don't know how im going to get the new batter connected

okay i setup the new battery correctly using a small 3inch 4gauge extension..everythings right now under the hood but my car doesn't start..the door lights aren't on my HU isn't starting just the rpm and fuel gauges and stuff on hte dash light up..and of course my car doesn't start...im charging the new battery right now to see if somehow it juiced it out which isn';t really possible so if someone could let me know what i did and what fuses and such are blown and if anything more serious has occured. thanks

oh sorry i forgot about this..i blew the main fuse which is a hell of a time trying to get to..so i had it special ordered and put it in today

Good thing the fuse caught the problem before it fried the computer, that could get quite expensive I imagine...
