Cool, I will see if I can find a switcher that is a little more sleek or maybe gut one of these and try to make it work. I would like a toggle switch next to a 1/8" input somewhere handy in the longrun.

Is it too late to get in the waitlist for the basic?
I really just need something to improve the SQ of my Sirius Starbase (which i'm currently using the FM Mod) in my 3.
I tried using the PIE Adapter but for some strange reason (which we were never able to figure out), when the PIE Adapter was plugged in, my navigation system was unable to connect to any sats.

I was #420 on the list for the Basic, received it last Thursday and had it installed in my 3 by Friday afternoon. I used an auxiliary 12 V connector and ground loop isolator for my install and it all fits nicely behind the dashboard. My connections to my XM Roadie are through a small hole I drilled through the ashtray. I have the Roadie mounted on an adapter that is glued between the Air Bag light and the cigarette lighter. I can remove/store the Roadie and stash the interconnects in the ashtray with the lid closed and it looks great.
And the sound quality is a notable improvement from modulation. My audio level setting on the Roadie went from max 5 to min 1 with the output listening level the same with a much cleaner sound.
Many thanks to the Sylfex team. Well worth the wait.

Just got through skimming this (very long) thread - ae you still manufacturing / shipping these units? I'm looking for something simple to plug my pocketpc into the radio (it acts as both a media player and cellphone). A minijack plug would do just fine for me... couldn't find a site to make a purchase - could you email me a site where I can buy one of these? Just got my 2005 RX-8 Shinka with Sirius and 6 disk bose, being able to play MP3's stored on my pocketpc would be awesome....

PUT ME ON THE WAITING LIST.
I'm through with the fm transmitter for the Ipod. I just threw it out the window on the way home.
I dont care if you send me the basic or the advanced, just get something to me please!

OverLOAD,
Will iPod control on the Advanced unit involve a cable with an iPod dock connector, or will it use the headphone jack and remote interface on top? If it uses the dock connector, will we be able to hardwire it into vehicle power to charge the iPod?
Also, any update on progress and ETA on the Advanced?
Thanks!

Hi Brian,
We're going to use one of the stand-alone dock connectors that lock in place from the bottom. We're planning on including a quality power supply for the iPOD that will power the unit from the Radio. There will only be one place to plug the iPOD in.
We were planning on some time in October, but I don't think we're going to be able to make it. It may slip a bit more then that.
Regards,

Hi all,
Just got around to installing my AuxMod basic, and it works like a charm.
I did have some nasty alternator whine, along with another whine when the AC compressor would come on.
Other assorted clicks, beeps, and pops.
Sounded like a fracking machine shop in there :D
But I knew ahead of time that at this was likely, as well as the fix.
This took care of it all: >Groung Loop Isolator<
Disclaimer: I use my AuxMod to patch audio from mobile communications equipment into the stock sound system.
I have not yet hooked up an external MP3, or other audio device, so I can't yet vouch for the audio quality of the isolator for music, etc.
But at it does knock out all that interference!!
Cheers,
Jeff

Hi Asmoran,
We have gotten the Text display to work, so yes, we are going to be able to accomplish a very nice integration for the iPOD and PC.
We're progressing nicely.
