deadly speaker wine wont go away

Ok to begin its a 05 shinka. it has a aftermarket deck and amp. It has always had the alternator whine in the speakers. I tryed fixing it and seems like iv only made it worse. Iv found a differnt ground for the amp, I grounded the deck to the frame and ran new rca cables. I'm at a loss now I did a lot of searching and those where the three things to go wrong. Any help would be awesome.

Try installing a ground loop isolator. They are like 10 dollars.

Yeah I'm positive its alternator whine. I installed one of those rca filters but It didn't do anything. I'm 99% sure its the deck. I hooked up my ipod straight to the amp and I had crystal clear sound.

So either your RCAs are picking up an induced noise or the deck (old school much?) is picking it up (usually from a poor ground).

Try this. Remove the headunit and strip 3-4" of insulation off a piece of wire. Then, without disconnecting them, wrap the copper strands around the outside metal barrel of a couple of the RCAs. Then ground the other end of the wire. I'm betting that helps.

Also try connecting your iPod to the RCAs in the front of the car. If you still have the whine then, you know you're getting noise through the RCA during transit to the amp.

I have the ipod in the front of the car and no whine. Everything seems to be pointing back to the deck. I still need to try the wire around the rcas on deck and see if that helps. If not time for a new deck. Thanks for the help.
