djseto, they're just giving you the runaround. In July it'll be October and so on. They've been doing this for a couple of years now.

I have a bunch of names of executives and directors that I dug up. I guarantee the reps and managers you've been dealing with are low on the totem poll. I don't have my car yet so I'm not making any calls until after I get it. But if anybody wants the execs contacts PM me and I'll send them to you.

Obviously you didn't bother to read the second paragraph in my post which answers both of your questions. How about trying that. And by contacts I mean names.

So I dont get it. If its Navteq whos the problem, why would Mazda give us the run around. They probably invest a lot of money into these people, and I am sure that the Mazda designers and engineers would like us to have that product if that is the case. They make a lot of overhead on upgrades like these. Some thing like this, not only hurts sales, but also sales of upgrades.

I will be going to my dealership this weekend to get the run around. But I tell you what, I just paid $2000 far a up to date navigation, and i will get it.

i think we need to sue either mazda, navteq or both. i already let them go when i bought my car in august of 03' and then sent me the letter on the big hp situation where it has 238 and not 250.

I'd be willing to write letters and send emails frequently. I don't suppose you know an address that we could write to?

Yeah, at this point we should call them thousands of times per week begging for the update. Then when they come out, we should tell everybody not to buy it - we'll just buy one.

And burn the **** out of it. :D

Calling now..
Strange.. I just noticed I have 2 DVD burners and a ton of blanks.
The longer the delay.. the less the guilt..

I'm willing to bug Mazda about this. Just for info, how do we know navteq has the discs? Did someone hear that in a phone call? Of course thier website says there are no updates, but I wouldn't expect the site to be reliable anyhow. I just wanted some more details so when I call Mazda to yell at them, I'll have more ammunition
