EXTRON RGB 109XI VGA INTERFACE for cheap!
EXTRON RGB 109XI VGA INTERFACE with AGSP unit #1 | eBay
the guy has 7 more of these you can get for 25 bucks shipped, when these used to be about $280 IIRC. search ebay with the subject of this thread.
Not my auctions, just a friendly FYI for anyone looking at doing a car PC while retaining stock NAV. i got sick and tired of being limited to composite input with avelectronic's av switcher, both due to picture quality and difficulty in sourcing video cards with composite out. also the av switcher's color was never quite right.
in addition to this, you would need a 12v to 110v inverter, a 4pdt relay to switch between it and stock nav, and a toggle switch. i am doing a momentary button relay setup instead, and sadly i am keeping my av switcher, since it's now essentially a $275 backup camera. lame. camera and av switcher aside, total cost is in the neighborhood of 40 bucks for VGA input. that's a steal if you ask me.
install isn't really anymore complicated than when installing the av switcher, and this nifty piece of gear should work on virtually any car's nav screen. PM if you've any questions, i am happy to help
