factory head unit causing oem speaker failure?
i installed the corksport dash kit with a kenwood dvd player and for the first 2 months was fine now my door speakers go in and out.. i dont know much about audio but im a lisenced electrician and i soldered all my connections no shady crip ons and im positive nothing came loose .. i had the bose system in the rx8.. by installing an aftermaket headunit did i cause the front speakers to go bad? thoose are the only ones goin in and out.... PS sorry about the tittle i meant aftermarket headunit!

did you use the bose adaptor with the corksport kit?
I wouldn't be so confident that the kenwood DVD player would have the correct output for the bose amps in the front doors. It may, but it probably doesn't and that could be what is causing your problems
the bose speakers are shait anyways - you should install aftermarket anps and speakers. Just take the pre-outs from your HU and run it straight into an aftermarket amp - then take out the bose amps and speakers and install some nice boston acoustics or something and run a wire from your amp straight into them..
