Factory System upgrade
I want to connect a 10" bazooka tube to my factory system. I will have a seperate amp for the bass but I wanted to use the factory mids and highs.
Has anyone done this?? Those with bass upgrades have you replaced the factory mids??
Let me know.

People will response but I'd recommend using the "search" first bud. I was looking for an alternative bass solution as well. From what I heard the infinity bass link is much better and fits perfectly. You can do a search on that as well. good luck!

Go to the Infinity website and you can read about the basslink. It seems like a good option since its self amped/crossed over and connects to factory radio.
I'm not a bass head so this is probably enough for me. let me know what you find

The hardest part is running a Positive wire to the battery. All the speaker connections are in the trunk. Need a good light, a blanket and instructions. Then just lie on your back on the blanket with your head under the rear deck looking up at the amp. Might need a hand to get out if your a big guy like me. Be sure to run a second positive wire (smaller gage) to the power in the center console so it only turns the amp on when the ignition is on. Get pleanty of extra wire so you can route it where you need it and gather all the wires together to wrap in a plastic split tube so it looks professional. I used velcro for my Basslink because I didn't want to drill holes in my new car. I use a putty knife and put paper under the feet and lift it to vaccume. There are posts w pics for the wiring. Very happy with the Basslink. Get tweeters also, so cheap and easy, and as noticable an improvement as the Sub.
