A few Navi tricks I found.
Ok, I'm not sure if this has been discussed or not, but I'll post a few things I've found that don't seem to be basic knowledge.
1. When having a destination set on the Navigation, and map view displayed. Pressing the (POS) button will change the view to the Guidence Display option. I thought you could only change to this view in the setup options. Nice little feature, I found on accident.
2. Pressing the Voice button with a destination selected, "She" will tell you the estimated time it should take to get to your destination. Nice...
3. Pressing the round Enter Button while on the Map view brings up additional options when a destination is selected, along with Detour/Rerouting options, adjusting volume, and turning off guidence.
I'm sure most of these are in the manual, but I like discovering such features on my own.

Nice. Nothing like experimenting on your own to really figure this system out instead of reading or asking. Go ahead and play with it; you ain't gonna break it.
Another tip: When using the Point of Interests (POI), always enter city first instead of simply the name of the POI (such as a restaurant.) If you do the name first, you will get all such POIs in your multi-state region, a truly huge list. If you do city first (only 2 clicks, since it remembers most recent cities), then POI name you list will be tremendously shorter.

One thing I have not found is how to get rid of an old address under {select destination}- {History}.. The dealer played around w/ it prior to delivery to make sure it was working, but I have some stuff for Iowa. I think it stores 49 different addresses put in, but how can i delete one or two I don't want? I have read the part on the NAV, but I did not find it. Any suggestions?
I really love the system. i have been playing w/ the options this long holiday weekend. It is impressive quite honestly - No wounder cruise missiles are so accurate. wow!

There are great music DVD's that I currently have and would love to play in the car. The system already has 5 channels of sound, so we'd be able to listen to music videos in Dolby Digital, if that's the way the hack works out. Far better than stereo sound!

it is one of those issues of preference. like someone likes to put neon glows under the car and others not; some like to have the 'eye lips' in the headlights, others find it hideous; i would like to be able to play dvd movies in it, utilizing the screen i already have... so i would really watch a movie while driving but my companions might.. again just a difference on preference. I am sure some will consider it 'stupid' or ' useless' with some reasoning behinde their opinions such as ' is dangerous, many died due to cell phones ' .. any ways i won't get into that kind of petty discussion if that is your intent. I like it, i will make it happen, thats all i care about, if others don't, don't pay attention to it, maybe some day we might agree in some other issue ..

there is hope though...i remember one of the first Japanese owners saying his could play movies...hopefully the feature is just disabled and not comepletely removed...if this is so, someone will come up with a hack, depending on how similar our DVD-Rom units are compared to Japanese ones

2 Things:
1. How is it they managed to leave Atlanta, Georgia out of the DVD?!?! It's really frustrating....
2. Found this cool little feature where you can see where you have been driving (or where it's been driven when you drop it off with a valet or service center). Under the setup menu, there is an option for "Trace Mark". It leaves little blue dots behind in the map where you have been. It's really nifty in that it works even when the NAV is turned off.
