"Fitted" luggage thread
I just wanted to see if anyone was as interested in this as me. Has anyone found a bag or a luggage that fits particularly well in portions of the trunk, front, or rear seats?
I ask because I'm interested in packing the 8 as much as possible. Fitted luggage would be great but somewhat cost ineffective. The next best solution would be to find mass-produced bags, that for whatever reason, conform to every nook and cranny of the 8.
If you have found something that fits particularly well, please suggest brands and models of bags/luggage/crates here.

yeah i can fit 26" bags too, even despite the strange aperture the trunk makes. But the problem is those bags probably arent more than 3 cu. ft. I think the 8's trunk is something like 9 cu. ft ... suggesting that the 8 still has room for 1.5-2X as many bags in the trunk.

Fitted never occurred to me. I often have bags for 4 people in the car. It seems we can get as many small duffle bags into the trunk as we can carry to the car in two trips.
Are you talking about over-sized suitcases like for major travel? When I travel alone my regular bags barely use 20% of the trunk space - even with the car-care stuff in the trunk.

mostly im trying to figure out how to efficiently use that space. So, supposing if someone were looking to buy an 8, they wouldn't be turned away for lack of cargo capability. Also to help current owners primarily.
Duffel bags seems like a good idea, especially for those odd-shaped nooks right behind the rear lights. Actually that might be better for a backpack. I'll have to look more closely next time i open the trunk.

One in a while I get angered because I need the gym bag from the bottom and have to stack a dozen bags on the ground to find/get the right one out, but that's been very seldom. With my wife's van I've opened the hatch to have everything tumble out - every vehicle has their drawbacks and limitations.
