Fix scratches in leather?

Some garage monkey moving my car must have been wearing rings or something. There's a scrape on the outside rim of my leather steering wheel. Doesn't look bad, but I feel it all the time. Any way to repair this?

i started realizing the same problem with my steering wheel. Small scratches started appearing on it. Either case i figure out it was the zipper from my jacket as i tried to get out of the car. Noticed that all the scratches where going in the same direction of getting out of the car.

Either case, I bought one of those stupid steering wheel covers to prevent it. I hate the dam thing, but i am leaving it on till the summer hits.

I'm having a similar problem. I bought my 8 used, and for the most part it was in pretty good shape.

The only problem is the previous owner must have had 10 rings and a pocket chain or something that he wore every day. The steering wheel where you get in and out of the vehicle is pretty torn up. It's not one or two scratches, but two dozen.

Is there a way to fix it other than replace the steering wheel? Otherwise, is there some kind of cover that doesn't look like complete crap I could put on there?

I always have a pocket knife w/ a clip in my front pocket. Lucky for me (unlucky for my wife), I noticed it hitting the steering wheel getting in and out of her Mercedes before I started dinging mine up.

Keep working it w/ leather conditioner. It won't fix it, but it will help. Don't forget to ensure the wheel isn't slick before driving!!

Holy S#!t. There are no good looking covers as far as I'm concerned and most upholstery shops don't want to do steering wheels. Check the dealer, a new steering wheel might (which I doubt) actually be reasonably priced. Can probably find a nice used one w/ a little effort.

New steering wheel is $600, and I've been watching the parts for sale section for a while. Cheapest I've seen is $250, and that's still more than I want to pay for what boils down to cosmetic damage. Thankfully it's on the lower left part of the steering wheel, and is only visible if I crank it fully to the right.

It still annoys the **** out of me though.
