Floor mats wont stay in place??
My floor mat on moves everytime I get in my car. any ideas on a way to keep them where they are supposed to be. I have having to move them back when I get in, I know its only an inch or two but according to my wife an inch really does matter
. Also the mat is curled up on the end under the pedals and although it doesnt interfere with driving it is driving me nuts seeing it curled up
.. Any ideas on a way to keep them uncurled for good?
Thanks

well if there isn't a post there, then go get one. You should see under the seat where the post should go, there is a hole and the post bolts into there. It is basically a piece of metal that extends outward from the bottom of the seat and then there is a post that sticks up on the end of it.
OR, you can try and get some self stick velcro and use the hook side stuck onto your mats and see if you can get it to hook onto the carpet underneath.

I will try and take a picture tomorrow so you have an idea. In the mean time, I would definitely try the velcro stuff. You can get a roll of it at home depot for like 7 bucks. Even if it desn't work, there are like a 1000 uses for velcro so its not money wasted.

If you're missing your post in the thick carpet, I think thats a personal problem you might want to see a doctor about.
Or your local Mazda dealership and pay 10 bucks for a new one. depending on which post we're talking about here.

this will sound ghetto as hell, but take a few short, black screws and run them into the carpet though the mat. It should give enough holding power w/o leaving any real marks.

I was missing the post as well when I got my car. The post came in the glove box of the car to be installed by the dealer. I imagine many screwed this up, like my dealer did (I bought the car second-hand). Apparently if you buy a new set of carpeted mats it will come with the post. I'll be doing that next spring; otherwise I've had the all-weather mats in for over a year and they do not move. Much.
