Front soundstage problem.Can anyone help?
Has anyone any idea as to how to change fixed bose amp for quality upgrade?Being a sound quality fanatic I have to say I am really dissapointed with the factory bose system and have already fixed the rear with a combination of pheonix gold and alpine to fix the bass.(which is great). Probem I have is the front soundstage which is poor .Any guidence appreciated.Thanx.

I'm dissapointed myself. How did you fix the bass in the rear? I was thinking of having a fibre-glass enclosure built for a Boazooka "triangle" 12 with appropriate amp. I think the triangle will look good, closest to Rotary design.

Bass upgrade using line converter.
I have added to the factory unit a Pheonix gold Tantrum 1200.i amp with a 1.0 power cap which is driving a pair of alpine type r 10" speakers. The bass is awsome and just adding this makes a huge difference to the overall improvement. As a guide I would suggest the best way forward to adding bass is to get an Alpine line converter which is interference free and cut this into your rear speakers using scotchlock. There is a pink and black cable which is connects to the amp in the boot will act as a feed to switch on and off your amp when the ignition is turned on which again can be scotchlocked. From there you will need to earth in the boot which there are multiple areas which you can connect.I would suggest you would be saving a fortune by doing this yourself only remeber the radio code when dissconnecting the battery.(Fortunately mazda re set for me free). For power from battery there is a grommet on left side below firewall which can be routed through and appear next to accelerator pedal. From there simply pull out the side panels and rear seat from below and you have power to the rear.I have used 4 gauge cable and have used a 70amp fuse 12 inches from the battery for safety. It really is simple to do.Just need to sort out my own front end.Good luck.
