full ipad HU adaptor suggestions

hey guys, i want (will, rather) replace the spot where my head unit sits and make a flush ipad head unit (it will swivel around to a blank face when keys are taken out so it will look great, it has an app with all the gauges hooked up to the OT-ii, and be able to play music and videos). i have done alot of researching and found that the easiest way of making an ipod/ipad work is keeping the head unit, and moving it to the glove box, and moving the hvac stuff to the ashtray area or something by extending them there to add more room

i am now in need of advice, of which ipod adaptor to use, alot of the posts are now outdated, and i need one that will do the following:
=have full steering wheel controls for ipod/ipad (vol and next/prev song obviously, but am hoping for the mute to work and the mode to change back to radio)
=possibly text in display, not important, i have a late 03, which i hope is considered an 04 (i will have a seperate button that will physically press the sleep button, so i can turn the screen on, cycle through songs via steering wheel or ipad and press the sleep again)
=must not lock out ipad at all (none of that 10secs on home will work)
=must charge obviously

but yeah, the main ones are obviously full steering wheel controls, including mute(play pause) and mode to cycle function (as the head unit will be hiding in the glove box, so i dont want to touch it). and not to lock out and still charge ipod, while still having all the functionallity

i will do a diy on this for everyone, as this will save alot of money on head units, sat nav, gauges and other affiliated "car info ot2" stuff. thanks guys
