Fully Illustrated iPod Install

Major Kudos to the author....
This morning I had a CD get jammed in the player, so I knew afterwork I would have to pull the darn radio unit out and strip it all down to get the CD un-stuckeded (technical term).
I had read through this post a few days ago and was intrigued at the time. Well I was gather the tools to pull the radio unit out, and it occurred to me...
Through the thorough detailing of the how-to guide, I was able to perform the soldering in a few hours., while unstuckeding the stuck CD.
I did run into one small snag though. After plugging the two connectors into the completed hacked radio unit, I had a lline running across the top of the text portion of the display. But the sound came through perfectly on the lline-input.
I took the radio back out and re-disassembled it, blowing any dust or debris out of each connector. I did notice a small sliver of solder fall out durring the dis-assembly. After doing that and re-assembling the hacked radio unit, I re-connected the wires and BLAMO..the display looked good and the audio sound great!
The next task will be to find a good place to cleanly mount the newly installed Line Input.
Anyway to make a short story long....Thanks for the how-to...it was excellant and easy to follow!

"Hey!" I said to myself
"Hey What?" I replied.
"If I need do all this work just to un-stuckeded a CD, why not perform the lline-in/CD hack while your at it" I replied to the reply.
Well I thought to myself..."What a good idea!"..So I dug out the RCA stero to RCA mini jack cables from my closet and proceeded to hack away.Through the thorough detailing of the how-to guide, I was able to perform the soldering in a few hours., while unstuckeding the stuck CD.

However, you may risk damaging your head unit if you don't use a line level output from the iPod (e.g. if you use the headphone jack and turn the volume all the way up on the iPod.)

Great mod man! Damn thing worked perfectly. Now I have a question. I armed my car tonight and I noticed the blinkers didn't go off, could it be this mod? Or is there some buttons I can push to make them come back on again?
