G/I - One touch open/close sunroof

I just wanted to give you guys a glance at my latest project for the rx8.

The module I built (wrapped in black tape below) controls the factory sunroof circuit and allows the sunroof to be opened and closed with one touch.

The install takes less then 5 minutes and could easily be done by a trained monkey. Only 3 wires, two of which just attach with a bolt and the third uses a wire tap.

The sunroof can still be opened or closed partially by pressing the opposite button once.

Attach ground wire with existing bolt.

Attach power wire and trigger wire.

question OP... are the two screws the only ones to remove? maybe im worried on breaking it, but its not coming out...

You have to pull it down pretty hard. But yes, only two screws to remove the map light assembly.

Go try it. They only open with one touch. You have to hold the button down to close it.
