I got 2 52mm gauges sitting where my dash piece used to be, zip tied to their own wires so they don't move too much. People who ride with me are starting to wonder about me

I've actually been tossing the idea around in my head about getting that a-pillar mount, but I haven't seen any pics of it installed. The only a-pillar mount I've ever experienced was in my civic and I didn't like how it blocked my view while turning.

there was a thread somewhere, where a forum member had that pod installed. it was an ok fit, but not great. I have also read that people running the A-pillar mod speak of trouble seeing around it, since it sits in a place that is already a little tight.
I think that if I am going to get any gauge setup at this point, it will be the RB setup.

I think that when you get used to where the needles should be on the gauge, a quick glance at them should be sufficient. I know that when I get on the straits at the track we go to, there is plenty of time for a quick glance. That is when you are supposed to be loosening the grip on the wheel, keeping your eyes moving and scanning your real estate in front of you. I tested this theory last weekend on our club mountain run, and it did not seem really bothersome to take a quick glance at the gauge mounting area, just a quick movement of the eyes, and the ashtray was easily seen, and the eyes could quickly return to their driving position. Now, staring at them, and studying them, well, that would be bad no matter where you put them.
Believe me, I would love to have the gauge pod that derwankel started, and if someone can get it in production, and sell it at a reasonable price like he had planned to, that would be my first choice. but I am not holding my breath.

It amazes me that SOMEONE has not done a center pod for this car! Plenty of room if you dont have Nav, would be easy to fab for a company, market is there. The feed pod is an apron type--that looks real easy to do. I wish I could do this. My home made install is not bad and very functional and as I have always said EVERY ROTARY ENGINE NEEDS REAL GAUGES.
I would like a more finished product but I accepted function over form for the time being. I am not paying $500 for a center piece gauge pod. Jesus.
SOMEONE WITH THE TALENT STEP UP HERE___YAHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I doubt it would be feasible to put gauges over the dash so it'll be always in your line of sight?!
$500 for a centre piece gauge pod? Only if I had $$$? Why are mods so expensive?

Everyone is worried about the price, WHY? There isn't even one being made for us at this point. We have to find an alternative to have one made from the idea that derwankel had originally. I like the concept of gauge pods on top of the nav. I am willing to pay for something like that, rather then paying $2k for a factory one which sucks. I want to hear that someone has found a way to get this concept created.
