Will this be motorized or manual (if manual, one of those spring loaded open?) ?
Will this cost $1,000 or more like under $500 (just a ballpark figure)?
Can't wait to see it.
BTW... that gauge pod is the hottest one I've seen yet!

I presume you mean a custom housing for a specific model of screen. I think there would need to be significant interest in a specific screen to justify the development. Getting that kind of consensus would be difficult for starters. Then there is the cost of assembling, void of screen warranty, etc. ... too much hassle and too costly in my opinion. Beside ... most folks "I think" want the flexibility to use different models and ability to get the unit serviced if necessary.
I'm just trying to provide folks a low-cost housing that will hold a screen and hide it when not in use all the while making it "look" OEM for the most part.

Understandable. I just thought that the ability to use open frame LCD panels would also be good. mp3car.com store is supposedly working on getting a transflective screen. Word is that it'll be open frame and run something like $600... but from the pics and comments... it is very daytime readable. I have spoken with AutoMeter (infact they supplied guages for the prototype development) ... they have put me in touch with a major vendor of theirs and a group buy offering is a distinct possibility.

The 60s just do not lend themselves well to the individual angled pods ... there are others out there offering solutions for the 60s.
