Well it looks like the prototype should be finished next week. Just trying to tweak the finish of the grain to match the OEM. Thanks for asking.

I would be interested in this. If it's easier, may want to make it in Piano Black finish, instead of the "regular" bumpy black finish of the stock car. It would match the front console, and don't know if it would be easier for you to fab it.

Yea, I think piano black would definetly be nice. I won't mine have the same look as the dash though.

Any updates so far?

Actually PTP's gauge pod is piano black, and on the new Astom Martin DB9, the piano black is an option, so I don't think that's a problem.

Folks-

Thanks for your interest.

The gauge pod master is for all practical purposes complete. I am working on the mold designs at this time. This design utilizes your existing dash panel and is compatible with both BOSE and non-BOSE cars. Obviously the pods will NOT work with the OEM NAV system. If you want, you obviously can acquire a second dash panel to use for the gauge pod and then sell your original to another interested party once you get the new pod.

The finish will match that of the OEM. It will not be piano black. True piano black is not practical as it is a film backed by injection molding and WAY too costly to justify. It can be simulated with multiple coats of paint, but it too would be VERY costly to produce, just look at the PTP pod. If you want it, you can always take it and have it finished that way yourself.

My concept is designed around making the gauges look OEM and at low cost. I am not prepared to talk pricing, even in private, as I do not know what it will cost to produce the molds and parts and how long it will take to mount them in the OEM dash panel. Even if I did have a price (and I DO NOT YET) ... forum rules prevent discussion.

Several of you have e-mailed me and I will be in touch. There won't be much activity on the pods for the next couple of weeks as I will be busy with business travel. When I return I intend to get them into production expeditioulsy.

What, if any, interest is there in the AutoMeter Nexus Gauges? I reckon we could put together a group buy if there was enough interest. This would provide for a complete gauge/pod solution.

Again ... thanks for your interest.

Depending on pricing I would be interested in a package with water temp, oil temp and oil pressure Gauges. Can we also add an option to include the RacingBeat sensor adapters?
