I don't want it to die either

Sorry ... been a little busy lately.

Anyway... master is done ... molds are about 1/2 done. Still finalizing the logistics of center dashes and how getting those is all going to work. I also have been talking to AutoMeter about their Nexus Gauges ... they seem interested in some sort of bundling deal.

Last, I think I have decided to debut this at the BOTD event in September. There will be plenty of folks there who can see it first hand and provide some feedback here on quality, finish, etc. Shortly thereafter, if all works out as expected I have been approached about putting together a group buy, so details on that will follow in a few weeks.

Sorry it is taking so long ... but this is a hobby for me, not a business. I work on it as I get the time. Family always comes first. Rest assured ... I am determined to make these gauge pods a reality.

The pod will be available separately, of course. Can't talk price ... forum rules.

All I can say is very reasonable.

Yeah im pretty sure I'm just gonna go with the autometer sport comp II mech gauges.

250 for one gauge, plus another 200 for the controller is just ludicrous.

3 gauges * 250 + 200 = 950 + shipping = pwnt.

I understand they do all kinds of cool **** like record data and change color and whatever, but seriously, I don't need that level of features.

Der, have you thought about making a pod that hides in the dash in place of a Nav unit and then can be opened for track days? Some folks like to keep that OEM look while still having a little something up their sleeves. I know you have several projects already in the works, but just wanted to know if you might be looking at something like this for some time in the future.

Hmmm .... Hmmmmm. I suppose I could mod the video screen housing I am developing. Gonna have to see on that. It is funny. Some want gauges on top of the dash. Others want gauges on top of the flip up video housing and still others want to be able to hide 'em. Some want 'em on the A pillar and some want 'em in the ashtray. I reckon that's what is referred to as opportunity.

Status quo folks.

Still planning to show it off at the BOTD event in less than 2 weeks. Molds have proven a little more challenging than I originally thought ... but that makes it more fun. No worries though. I am experimenting with a couple of different plastics right now ... as well as UV inhibitors.

I'm trying to put together a deal for gauges. A high-end solution and a low-end solution. Still negotiating. The group buy discussions continue as well. Hang in there a little longer ... I'm not going anywhere. Y'all sound nervous. Wait and see what some of the folks who actually get to see it have to say after the BOTD.

Defi does make 52mm gauges. Which is what I plan on getting.
