Hey guys, in my never ending search for gauge pods, i ran across this company that makes carbon fiber A-Pillar gauge pods for our RX-8. Check it out.

Dunno.. ask them for a more detailed picture to see if the color matches to your liking. I'm not a big fan of carbon fiber interior stuff, so I'm going to leave these alone.

No air bags.....

AlphaGuy, no airbag in the 'A' pillar, just a logo, they are in the roof. (Pull one off and see.)

Hey guys, if everyone starts bombarding PTP Motorsports (info@ptpmotorsports.com) with emails asking them to hurry up their production of that 3 gauge pod they are going to make they may hurry up it's release. They are taking their sweet old time. Just send them an email.. here's their email address:

Hi. JDM models have the airbag in the A pillar - so we can't fit the gauge pods

No your wrong. The string that attaches to the side curtain air bag comes out of the TOP of the A-Pillar on all RX8's. So, an A-Pillar gauge pod will work on ALL 8's. :D

Philodox, that looks great.
I'm definitely getting one when they're released. I put my defi bf gauge on the left hand side of the dash. I'm installing the turbo in next weekend. Also I received the greddy oil pan today.

The Mazda Speed digital Gauges look interesting. The ODBII standards don't specify "PIDS" for oil temp and oil pressure. So these gauges either use a manufacturer specific PID, or don't use ODBII. That would mean they either can still get it via the CAN bus, or directly connected to sensors.

I would like to learn more about this.

Cheers,
Hymee.
