Get rid of interference with the Audio Link

I just hooked up a ps2 slim, and I am using the audo link auxilliary input for the sound. The problem having is whinning noise I get , even louder when I press gas, it doesn't matter if the ps2 is on or off I get the noise. The only way to get rid of it is to unlpug the auxilliary input. What do you guys thinking is causing this?

What do you guys think will work better rca or 3.5mm groun loop? My current setup is RCA from the PS2 ,to a rca female to a male 3.5mm female adapter, then to 3.5 male adapter , then finally I plug it into the audo link.

sorry i was not clear... crutchfield has a 3.5mm ground loop isolator... so you do not have to buy all the adapters for the rca jacks...

^^What swoope said. Use the 3.5mm, leave it connected and you won't have to worry about noise in anything else you plug in later.

This Crutchfield ground isolator works great!! No more alternator noise and
no decrease in audio quality. Works great with my Sirius Radio.
