So as the title states. Went to a local scrap and got lucky with obtaining an OEM nav screen but nothing else. What can I do now, should i buy a cable from mazda to connect the screen or just get an after market touch screen. What can you guys recommend.

P.s. I only have the screen nothing else... not even the dvd player, no cables just the screen that flips up with the mechanism.....

It sounds like you might be better off fabricating a aftermarket touch screen and getting a broken lcd netbook off ebay for it.

To setup the nav you'd need alot more parts AFAIK.

Edit: Or you could sell it online to someone like me whod want one =D.

 

Trying to install the factory nav? Was that your goal? If so, bail on the idea now. You have no clue what you're getting yourself into....and all for an inferior navigation unit.

Put an aftermarket LCD in there and install a CarPC. Limitless options. Far better.....everything.
