GROM + Metra + NO HEADUNIT

So, I noticed this has been a pain in the *** for me since I want to keep the stock Bose **** for now until I have the money to replace it. With that said, doing reasearch, I found out that the stock Bose takes a line out connection from the stock headunit.

Since I cannot output a line unit directly from the tablet, I bought the GROM thinking it would just output to a 3.5mm - it outputs to a line level as well into the CD rom.

I will try this at home, but will try to splice the wires from the GROM and directly connect those to the Metra kit wires that direct into the stock HU.

The thing with this, is if this doesn't work, I ordered a DAC/AMP for USB to 3.5mm to make the sound out of the tablet good - and then I will probably use a PAC interface from that to the Metra wiring (if I understand that is what those are for).

I will keep everyone posted on my findings and research.

Hey, does anyone have or can help find me the wiring harness diagram for the 15/16 pin CD port on a Bose headunit? My only guess is to cut into the GROM wire harness and tap that directly into the Metra kit.

The idea's and concepts should work correctly, though we will see.

Still no luck on trying to figure out the PIN OUT for the CD ROM port on the Bose Headunit. If anyone truly has an idea for this, let me know!

I also keep running into the case where the Metra faceplate won't fully click in - weird.
