GT Package

If you have the GT package w/ the Boss Speakers, what else is necessary for the interior of the car to make it sharper?

For the speakers up font, what did you do about the 9 inch woofer? Are you running these off of the Bose amp?

Left them as is for the time. (Runs from the stock Bose amp)
Looking in to change that amp that's in the doors and if that works then upgrade front 9 inches to something better.

Total cost was about 800...

Really? How did you wire it? The stock woofer is only .5 ohms, how did you hook a 4 ohm speaker to it without loosing an 1/8 of the power? Please explain in great detail, if you were able to hook aftermarket speakers to the Bose amp and have it still play loud, then ****, your my hero!:D

After re-reading your post, I think that you left the woofer alone, is that correct? If that is the case, do the aftermarket tweeters provide enough lows. The stock tweeters are 2 inches and can go much lower then any aftermarket set.

Your tweeters should not produce lows. Tweeters are in the range of more higher frequencies , once you hit that frequency, the midbass/midrange take over from there.

Left the woofers alone for now...
Need to find a small amp that takes the input from the Bose in the rear,
And mount that amp in the door. (Need 2 amps of course)
Then wire up new woofers in the door.
Long time ago I had a class D amp that did 100w in mono,
The size was about 1' x 3' x 8' German brand, don't know if they still exist.

Tweeters work great! Have a lot more highs to them.
The way they are mounted now, you can also swivel them.
I used the stock cap of the original Bose tweeters.

An amp like that would be great for the woofers. Dose this amp use the differental output or we you use a line coverter?

Talking 10 years ago here...

Been trying to find the amps but so far no luck...
Brand was "AMA" made in Germany, (800$ a piece) they had 2 models:
100W & 150W.
I remember the amps because my installer at the time mounted them in the doors
Of VW Golf II... You needed jeweler’s screw-drivers to adjust them!
He was working on my merc at the time....
Won 5th place at the Paris car audio show with that car.
(Man getting old here)
Guess I need to call him and find out if they are still in business.
He does know the rep from Focal and I met him once.
Focal at the time made speakers to order, maybe that’s an option.
(Have them rewire a 9' speaker so it does work with 4 ohm's)
It was pricy do....
