Guess this settles the question about Airbags and the Pillar...

Looks to me like the pillar is still completely intact, meaning a gauge pod mounted there would have been just fine with respect to the airbag...

Are the considered a "front" airbag? Because it looks like the front airbags are not deployed.

the side airbag seems little small... will it actually be useful if it does ever deploy?

Thank you - I've had a hard time explaining this in the various A-Pillar gauge pod threads...

the question is does that guage pod change colors at night like stock? I think I'd pay about $500 for these...I like them better then the mazdaspeed setup that locates on the center of the dash and those are over $1200 anyway, oh and they don't fit anyway since there is a display that pops up (I forgot this crucial element :p
