Halogen reflector headlight acting funny
My halogen reflector headlights (the high-beam/daytime running light) has been acting up for the past week. First of all the passenger side has stopped working completely. Now when I release the handbrake, the driver side halogen reflector headlight would come on in high-beam mode full time. This lasts for about 30 seconds, then the driver side halogen reflector also dies, as if it's tripping a breaker or something. If I jerk the handbrake a couple of times, the halogen reflector would flicker on and off.
This is a Canadian car with Daytime Running Light, so the reflector halogen and the mini-projector flashlight thingy is suppose to be on whenever the handbrake is released. Does anyone have any idea what is causing the problem? Is this caused by the burnt halogen headlight bulb? Or has someone gone haywire within the lighting system?
