I have the SE T617 and it works great with the Parrot, the phone you get will depend on your cell carrier. I'd recommend checking <http://www.driveblue.com/(tcq5fl3kjvwxqovnggmgzg55)/download/CK3x00-vs-phones%20features.pdf> and looking for a phone that's fully supported.

I got my Parrot from expansys-usa <http://www.expansys-usa.com/product.asp?code=CK3100> and the mute from <http://www.proclipusa.com/>. I don't think ProClipUSA lists the mute on their website yet, you'll have to call them to place an order. And make sure they know you are getting the Parrot and the model of Parrot so they can include the correct adapter cable.

Qubit Mute System

I was refered by Qubit to the following company in Germany that were willing to ship uproad.

S&K Datentechnik
E-Mail: tspieker@skdaten.de
www.skdaten.de www.nav-pro.de

As per their email the parts I needed were the following:
Hi-fi mute system for MAZDA BOSE (84-10172) and a power adaptor for the Sony Ericsson carkit (86-10080)

They informed me that they shipped the necessary parts by DHL last week but I have not received them yet.

I will let you know when I receive them.

I communicate with them in English as I do not speak German.

The email with the parts I need was sent to me by S&K after they consulted with Qubit in Denmark.

I just contacted Proclipusa and they advised which QuBit adapters I need and I placed an order with them today. They are going to call me back to let me know if they are in stock. My question is, is it truly plug and play. Do I just pull out the headunit and plug it in?

I received word from proclip today that they are shipping the necessaru Qubit adapters for my Parrot CK3100. Now I just have to figure out where to install the dispaly unit for the Parrot. I saw one person modified their ashtray to make it fit. It does not fit as is. Since I'm not too good with a drememl, does anyone els have any ideas or seen any other mounting areas?

I have attempted to hook up my Parrot with the Qubit adapter, but I am not receiving power to the Parrot unit. I hooked up he main wire from the Qubit into the back of the HU and then plugged in teh Stereo wire. The Hu is working. Then i plugged the Qubit into the parrot using the adapter wires from Proclip. I am not receivng any power. I think I missed something in hooking up the Qubit to the HU. Does the Qubit connect to more than one place in the back of the HU?

I tested the power out from the Qubit and am receiving power. Then I tested the power out from the adapter provided by Proclip that plugs into the Parrot and I am receiving power through that. But ince I plug it into the Parrot unit, I receive no power from the parrot. Any ideas? I have tried two different Parrot units so I don't think it is the parrot. Is it possibl;e the wires in the adapter from the proclip are reversed when plugged into the parrot?

Read the post by REZ on the 11-10-2004 in this thread.

There are other posts regarding this problem. It seems to be a small problem using the European Qubit and American RX8s

I received the Qubit Hifi mute a few days ago and installed it in my car together with the Sony ericsson HCB-30 bluetooth handsfree. Unfortunately the system does not mute and no sound is transfered to the speakers. The phone and handsfree pair together no problem with that.

Any ideas as to what is wrong? Could it be that the HCB- 30 is defective? Is there a way to check this?

If you have the stereo on and simply ground the yellow mute wire from the QuBit does the radio mute? That's about the easiest test I know of to determine where the problem may be.

There are two yellow wires on the Qubit, one thick and one thinner. The radio mutes when I ground the thick yellow wire from the qubit but the sound from the phone does not transfer to the speakers. When I use the external small speaker I can here the phone sounds.

Qubit - Parrot combination

I have the Qubit - Parrot combination but I do not have the addaptor for Parrot.

I nead some help with the wiring between Qubit and Parrot.

Five wires leave Qubit (White, Brown,Green, Yellow, Grey) to enter Parrot. Which wire goes where?

Anyone knows what each wire is for?

If it's similar to my QuBit HiFi (my connector has 6-wires, but the 6th wire is separate from the other 5) here's what they're for.

White - speaker wire 1 from hands free kit
Brown - power ground in
Green - speaker wire 2 from hands free kit
Yellow - mute signal wire from hands free kit
Gray - power +12V in

My connector has a 6th separate wire; yellow, labeled "mute out".
Hope this helps.

PS: The QuBit documentation SUCKS. I had similar documantation issues with my mute system as well. There's a picture of my assembly in this thread, FYI.

Thanks datasmith,

We have exactly the same unit.

Can you direct me as to where each wire should conect into the parrot. ( see my attached diagram)

I do not have an adaptor and I do not intend to buy one if I can avoid it because it is not locally available and to bring just that from abroad would not justify the cost.

Sorry, I have not been able to find any information on the connector pinouts of the Parrot. Maybe someone else out there has that information.
