head unit stuck

I have posted in thread about auxmod as I just received mine. Followed the tutorial whatsmyrip.org has and a couple others. I cannot get my head unit to turn loose on the upper left. Removed the nut from the bolt behind and don't wabt to force much harder than I have (meaning yank with all I got). I have nav but don't see that that's the problem. I would love to do this this weekend. Help please?

I just took my headunit out for the first time ever about an hour ago, and I had similar troubles trying to get it out.

The climate control plugs (the two connected at the bottom when you first slide it out) were VERY hard to get out, and once I got them out, i had to really pull to get it out far enough that I could reach anything on the back. Once i could get to the back, I was able to unplug the connecter that runs parallel to the back of the HU, but I could not reach either of the other two. I got kind of frustrated and really yanked it, and it seemed to tear some electrical tape that loosened everything up. Probably not the best way to do things, but it allowed me to get it out.

I haven't even finished my project yet, the headunit isn't even back in place yet, so I could have caused damage I don't know about, but there is no visible damage other than the tape i tore.

Auxmod up and running. Everything works. Sound on my Sirius radio and Ipod sooo much better. That pic was perfect. Removed the steel plate under the drop down plastic and used extensions for 10 mm ratchet. No damage and I'm a happy boy.

also I didn't pull whole radio. Took the 2 Climate control plugs off, small screwdriver in slot in black plastic where white plug goes in (under plug) to release plug, pulled head unit forward and turned it sideways with bottom to driver's side and inserted auxmod. Never fooled with plugs behind radio.
