hey heres what you have to do..let me guess the right side just wont pop in right. Mine was driving me crazy, and what I ended up having to do is break off a piece of plastic near the front right side (closest to you). Look close and figure it out, and youll see a part on the piece that has nowhere to fit into when putting it on. Not sure what thats all about but it worked for me, and snapped right in tight after that.

That's it exactly. I took a dremel to that bit of plastic tab sticking out myself. It is probably covered by a square of felt to dampen vibration... that comes right off. The reason for this is that the whole thing is JDM; meant for RHD cars. Imagine if that buldge at the bottom were on the other side; it'd fit then!

Yessir. pull off the felt square there and cut the tab off as close to flush to the bottom of the tray as possible. I'd stick the felt square back on after you do, just to make sure you don't get rattles.

hey this might not help much..its been a few weeks since mines been in...but i remember removing a piece from here too. The left side should go in...the problem should be on the front right side mainly. Look for another tab. When your putting it on push it down slowly and see whats hitting, it is made for a RT hand drive car. I was frustrated too, then i just kept looking to see what was hitting and finally realized. The circle shows the app area from what i can remember

Anytime you work on this you should disconnect the battery just to be safe since you did remove the radio which can be damaged plugging it in with power running.

It is simple...just disconnect the negative with a 10mm socket (or is it 12mm, I changed my battery setup so mine may be different). Then you can prop up the negative cables on cover of the battery case so it does not accidentally touch.

We will update the product page to inform customers that when installing they should look for obstructions...I'll follow this thread and maybe put together a guide to put on product page too of tips on how to do it.

Thanks for the update ZZZZ...you'll get it in there, the 2007 and previous years all use the same mold for the dash so if other got it to fit you will too.

If you remove the LCD panel while battery is connected you should be ok since your car is off. The only danger is reconnecting or less likely disconnecting the Head unit while the battery is connected.

If you want to avoid disconnecting the battery just pull the room fuse located near your left foot on the drivers side...although battery disconnect is preferred

nice, that's a really clean looking tight fit.
I'm wondering if I should go for this or try for the nav housing minus the screen.

oh ya i considered about the nav housing too
yaa the stock nav housing do look better
but itz quite expensive and usually comes with the screen
if u want to change the screen, u might have to modify the frame urself too @@

The panel fit is very clean... one thing I would like to know, and it might be worth opening a new thread, is about the LCD mount itself. I got a Lilliput 7", and the bottom mount does not sit flush with it mounted to the rear bracket. I am wanting to know (and any of you others that have this setup) if you left out some mount screws from either the bottom or the back to not stress the LCD frame. I have had to do some sound dampening on the screen mount itself because it would rattle over bumps when it is flipped open. Do you experience these problems as well?

i mounted my clarion 7" with the bracket included... two screws in the back of the lcd screen and two to the housing...so far so good. You go all the way up with the screen until it pops in right? for the first week i wasnt doing this which caused a lot of rattle, now i only get a little when closed but not bad.. my thread is here with a vid
