Help with Radio wiring (AMP Related)
Hey guys,
i tried installing my Aftermarket unit yesterday and i couldn't get any sound from my radio. i managed to get the NAV and DVD to work (with the e-brake By-pass), i followed the Sony wiring diagram to the tee!!! but it seems that i forgot to adapt my connections into the factory Bose Signal amp.
anyone have pictures of the amp connection, everything is in place! i just cant get the signal from the radio to the amp!! it quite frustrating being 95% done!!! ONLY to be held back by this mishap. local audio shops Quote $70 bux just to tap into it and finish the installation. i kinda like my money LOL!! so i want to resolve this.
i have looked at the Pin connector thingy but it just confuses the Crap out of me.
What are the colors of the Factory signal amp and which cables do i need to splice them into!
The unit I'm installing is a SONY XNV-660BT

You should be following the Metra wiring diagram to the tee.
Be it Sony, Alpine, Pioneer, whatever.... they have identical wiring. Cake walk.
It's really going to be difficult for anyone to help you. We have no idea what you've installed, how far along you are, or what mess you've got behind the headunit. You only need power and ground for the headunit to turn on and play. So that leaves us with about 80 other things it could be. Is the remote turn-on lead connected properly?

I got it to work, I had forgotten to wire the lead signal amp. It sounds amazing, now I need to find out what's wrong with my metro axxess box. It doesn't display my LCD.

lol gotta be quicker I guess.
Either way, I guess the Metra instructions don't give much in the way of RX8 wiring. Just the standard headunit colors. Same for every headunit. Know em. Memorize em. Love em.

Lol sorry dude, I'm currently talking with Sheldon. He wants to try and see if it it isn't the harness that's messed up. He asked if the harness for the display is 4-pin to 4-pin. Is this correct?
