Hi everyone

I was curious if this happened to anyone before. I have 8000k (light blue) HID bulbs for about two years now and recently I noticed the light emitted from the left bulb have changed into a more greenish light. I wouldn't have noticed if the contrast wasn't so huge compared to the still blueish light from the right bulb

what could be the cause of this? something wrong with the bulb?-about to go bad? something wrong with the ballast?

any help is appreciated

 

I've heard of cheaper bulbs (specifically Apexcone) turning green with age. Even OEM quality HID bulbs colorshift over time, they will turn more blue and then get dim and purple before failing. What brand bulb are you using? I would bet it's the bulb.

 

oh ok thnx, I was afraid of that, I don't remember the manufacturer it was off ebay with a 1 year warranty...
