Sounds bangin'! I can hear you all the way out here on left coast!

J/K...should be a good setup. Don't go cheap on the Dynamat.

Sounds like a high output alternator and an extra battery to me...

That doesn't solve a damn thing.

We're not talking about a little headlight dimming. We're talking big boy power here. You wanna run big boy amplifiers, you gotta run a big boy electrical system. Let me ask you.... what size/how many fuses does that Memphis amp have? Three 60 amps? How about that Alpine? It uses two 30 amp fuses. Ever think where this ~250 amps of juice is going to come from?

..... good thing you're buying that $80 capacitor....

I can vouch for the front, rear, and PDX amp.. I have all that in my car now

I had a type X 12 sub - but burned it up.. after that i decided to go down to 2 type R 10"s and they do better than the 12 in some.. but not as good in the super lows.. type X is a mean sub!

but I will have to mention that the mouting depth required by the type X subs is 8.6" and the mounting depth available by the ZEnclosures box is only 8.5" -- even it it does JUST barely fit, it's a bad idea to have the sub that close to the back of the box.. they need to breath, especially if they are 1000 watts RMS each!

My suggestion is to get the ZEnclosures box made a couple inches deeper if you can.. OR go down to the type R's and get the PDX 1.1000 amp to match you other like mine (click my sig)

but if you must run that much power you WILL need a battery and an alt with a damn good ground.. and could still probably use a good cap just to be safe

Thanks for the info with the box, I'm new at this lol.
I'll ask them to make it with a bigger depth. The only reason I'm getting that amp and subs is because my boss is selling me the subs for $400 for both and the amp for $400. I was going to go with the pdx 1.1000 cause I don't need 2500w lol but that is a good deal for his amp.

you should look at Alpine's website, they should have a spec sheet for those subs showing the power range those subs work best in.
$400 might be a good price but if it's not what your subs need..... Well....you should get the idea

You think he'd even be able to turn it up loud enough to pop a 60 amp fuse?

Haha

I've had an internal catastrophic failure in an amp I used which caused my main 250 amp fuse under the hood to blow.

Ahhhhhh the good ol days...

yeah the amp is almost a perfect match for those subs @ 1 ohm... just make sure your box is deep enough.. I would LOVE to hear it

if you can't get the box made to fit.. you can mount the subs backwards in the box... you would lose all of your trunk.. but it would look SICK!

Great head unit but it is also a 3 year old model now.... replaced by the AVN6620 (not much of a difference) which in turn has now been replaced by the AVN726E (major difference).

actually I just bought the headunit and it is the 6620.

I asked them about customizing the box and still haven't heard an answer.
Mounting them backwards would look amazing but I need my trunk haha
