HU replacement w/ corksport kit - OEM Bose speakers

All right, I've already got a lot of info on this already, but am unsure about a few things and my gear will be here next week. I'm replacing the stock HU with a pioneer avic-D3 and want to use the stock bose speakers for now. I was told I just need a line out converter to integrate so I purchased a peripheral sven4 LOC. But my question is where do I install it, do I take speaker lines from pioneer and line outs to the bose amps? Any input would be great.

wire the sven 4 between the speaker out from the pioneer to the speaker wires on the harness that comes with the corksport kit

What you would need to do is put the RCA harness on the input side of the LOC, and connect that to the output of the headunit. Then the output of the LOC will use the harness with the wires coming from it. You will need to wire them into the old wires that came out of the stock HU.

Check the speaker sizes sticky, that should get you the info on what wires need to be spliced into the harness for the LOC. Also, I wrote a DIY that might help you out with wire colors as well:

The bose stuff is at the bottom.

OR, you could get the bose adapter from corksport.

At the chance of sounding ignorant, why would I use the RCA outs of my new HU just to convert them to speaker line outs? Why couldn't I just use the spkeaker line outs of the new HU straight to the old stock HU harness? Then there would be no reason to use the LOC. Is it just a sound quality thing? I must be missing something...

You definitely don't sound ignorant. I got caught up in your question about wiring the LOC and didn't even realize that it probably isn't needed.

As far as I know the harness that comes with the corksport plugs into the old harness that came out of the back of the stock HU. With this all you would need to do is connect the wiring from the kits harness to the wiring from the new HU. The corksport kit is in the standard white/gray/green/purple and the new headunit should be like this as well. Just connect the same colors together and you should be fine.

You shouldn't need the LOC as far as just making the new HU work with the old speakers. What I don't know is how it will sound using the regular harness as oppsoed to the bose adapter
