I have R3 Recaros in my car; it also has the airbag light on and iirc the code given was driver side belt buckle. Ill be swapping it out with my old seats buckle to see if that fixes it.

either that or you can likely figure out the proper resistor to get the light off. It’s probably posted on here somewhere.

however, there may be an issue on the passenger side on whether or not it can detect if a passenger is present for the dash airbag. The system s always assumes the driver is in the seat, but I believe on the passenger side it not only can’t detect if the buckle is engaged or not, but also the seat sensor on weight/age/size in the bottom seat cushion. So it won’t automatically throw a code like the driver side. It just won’t know if there’s a passenger in that seat.

Did you guys swap the R3 seats directly into an S1 without modifications? I'm away from my car and the guy that's supposed to be swapping my seats is saying the brackets are different.

They just bolt right in. No modifications required. Did he accidently adjust the seat position? The rails aren't connected to one another so they might not be lined up in relation to each other.

OP or mine? OP's are Spirit R seats, so they'd have to have come from Asia. Perhaps Yahoo Auctions in Japan?

I bought mine off of you, lol

I'm not really sure. I think they just looked at the brackets and they looked different. I was reading in another post about there being an extra something on the newer ones that is not needed on an S1 but it shouldn't affect being able to bolt them in. Like I said I really don't have access to my car right now so hard to explain.
