installing NEO Prolink PODMAZV1 iPod/Aux adapter?!
Hello there,
Ok, so I just received this adapter earlier today which I bought from here
I followed this tutorial for removing the radio
Everything went fine, I installed the adapter following these instructions.
I reinstalled the radio and then connected my iPod, and tarra: nothing happened
I mean my iPod went through some screens as mentioned in the instructions, but I couldn't hear anything from the speakers. ]
I didn't get the part which says:
Select the CD changer source. (CD, CDC)
Sounds stupid but if I select the cd thing, the CD will automatically play
And somebody please explain these two little switches to me, I'm not sure if they have something to do with the whole thing

I'm pretty sure the DICE and the NEO work the same (in fact, they may be rebadged versions of the same box). When installed, you press the CD button and the display will go to CD. Press it again and it should go to EX (external) as it thinks the NEO box is an external CD changer (like the kind you would mount in your trunk, not the in-dash unit). If that's not coming up, you may want to disconnect the negative terminal on your battery for a few seconds then reconnect it to reset the radio and hopefully get it to recognize the NEO unit.
As for the dip switches, on the DICE the ones on the left side (you facing the switches as shown in your photo with the box logo facing up) are for future use and the ones on the right switch the unit from DICE mode to iPod mode. The modes are functionally the same, but the iPod mode forgoes the track counter and such to speed up operations (it receives less information from the iPod, therefore it's supposed to make the controls more responsive and make the iPod work right away when connected rather than waiting for it to sync up).
Hope that helps you somewhat.

I mounted the DICE case vertically sitting between the stereo and the glovebox - zip tied it to a metal brace in there. But I also used a mini-din extension cable to allow the iPod cable to comfortably run to the secret storage compartment under the armrest. If you aren't using an extension cable, you could also just place the box behind the ashtray (there's a fair amount of free space behind there).
