I have always been a fan of the Kicker family of products... their amps are official and they feed wattage at the said amount for a fair price.... or you could be a baller and go with a nice JL Audio amp

I like Jl amps. What gauge wire depends on if you want to allow for future expansion in case you decide to install a 4 channel amp for your highs.
Tap the input to the amplifier before the Bose amp, do a search on here for wire colors. I used a Soundgate LOCb.2 to convert to RCA's, but they have a new module that offers a remote gain adjustment. I would defintely recommend getting that. It would be nice to have adjustment of the sub amp from up front.

well, if you are running 2 12w6v2's, you will need to either run 2 500/1's or 1 1000/1 by jl, or other amps of similar power class. at a minimum, you will need to use 4 guage power and ground wires.
