Installing OEM Nav into a car without Nav
So im looking for an RX8. A very specific one but the problem is i only found one that has everything i want (BLack GT, red.black leather WITH NAV). So my question is .. how hard would it be to install the OEM Nav into a car that doesnt have it ?? If its easy then ill just buy one that doesnt have it and then install it. But if its hard ill probably still keep my eye out for an RX8 with it that im looking for. I keep finding so many RX8 that are close to my requirements the only thing missing is the NAV. SO help me out please... i did search but nothing this specific. Thanks

WOWZA!!! I think ill keep trying to find one with Nav then. See i like everything to be compact and to look like it was from the factory. Putting a garmin wouldnt look like it was one unit. Thanks for the info

Save money and buy a aftermarket HU. It will give you a stock look with a metra kit, plus give you ALOT more features for 1/3 of the price. The stock nav is mediocre and the non-Bose radio is HORRIBLE. I can't speak for the Bose radio but mine is non Bose and probably the worst radio Ive ever heard in such a nice car.

Buy the stock Nav hood from a breakers and install a Car PC.. can't recommend it enough.
Swap the screen out for a nice touchscreen display and you've got MP3, Sat-Nav, Handsfree, reversing camera etc etc..

Just buy a garmin. I have the built in nav and it works fine but i can not take it out of one car and put in in another car. Plus the gamin is a lot cheaper and some come with lifetime traffic.
