Installing a system question

I'm thinking of buying this custom box for my RX8 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=290038081450

I've got the bose speakers and small amp mounted in the back and I think 6 by 9 speakers. Anyway my question is does anyone one know what I should buy for speakers that would fit the box? I here Bose has kind of a strange set up were I would only be able to buy bose speakers. So if anyone has done this I would really like your input on this.

I assume that I would have to upgrade the amp aswell. So if anyone can point me what to buy that would be great.

Thanks

thats an awesome box... and you have alot of options with it..

1 10" sub
2 10" subs
1 12" sub
2 12" subs

Just about any sub you buy will fit in it.. most people go with the JL audio 10s they sound great and are well worth the money.

as for the rest of the speakers.. it sounds like you may be biting off waaaayy more than you can chew... If I were you I would stay with your stocks.

I purchased this box and love it. I temporarily have 2 Punch 10" that fit. It is about .75 CF so just about any quality 10" (made for a sealed box) should sound decent. Yes, you will have to buy an amp and some sort of LOC. Search around the site, there are literally hundreds of posts on the right & wrong way to go about this. I think there are hundreds more on which brand of amp & subs. Good Luck!!

A pair of 10's from JL, Kicker, or Alpine will do you well. Check the wattage on the subs and buy an amp accordingly. You'll want to check with a professional to make sure the ohms work out (not just any two subs with any amp will work) and other things. You won't need to modify the Bose system persay but will have to tap into it for remote and signal. Honestly, your best bet is to buy the box and go to a local, reputable car audio shop and let them steer you in the right direction equipment wise. Oh, and DON'T go to something like a Best Buy or Circuit City, they either carry crap or it's overpriced. Can't vouch for their installers, but I would naturally be wary.

Hope this was any help, gl!

Yep I plan to check with a professional and have them install. I'm just trying to get an idea of what needs to be done so I won't get ripped off, and get an idea what will work well with the stock speakers. This is a winter project I plan to do with my RX8. I'll let you guys know what I plan on getting. Anyone else have any input please let me know
