how the hell would they work.... for thirty bucks ill spend it lol why not dont like it ill throw it out anyone have picss...... im quite curious now since i thought this wasnt possible

 

They do work. We had a forum member that turned his instrument panel and radio buttons to blue. forget his name though. I think it was Lurch? He didn't buy a kit from ebay though. he bought a bunch of surface mount LED's and got soldering.

IIRC it required disassembling the gauge pod, removing the existing surface mount LED's and replacing them with different ones. You better be a professional solderer if you want to try it, the LED's are about the size of a grain of rice and the contacts on them even smaller.

 

ha i did the tap into the circuit board to the cd for my ipod adapter i saw a while ago and i was crapping my pants doing the soldering so that would be a negative would love to see some pics though

oh i like that look, i will have to tackle this project! (ive soldered surface mount items before, not fun, but doable)
