^I'd appreciate that, and if you know which (if in fact they are) red SMT lights would be nice and bright, I'd be grateful too.

Pure,
Get the new lights in yet? Have pics?

Correct as long as the LED is a 194 replacement you should be ok.

Remember when removing the maplight fixture there are two metal retaining clips you have to squeeze in towards the light. Take a screwdriver and find the end of the clip and squeeze them in, then do the same on the other side. Please be patient, if not then there goes more money to replace a broken part....

Should be okay......those are about 27mm in overall height and the ones I have that they no longer offer are about 26mm.
Here's a link to what I have except they are blue and not blacklight(purple).

Dimming...

Do the overhead lights still dim when you arm the alarm/lock the doors?

^ I would have to agree. Mine dim and go out like normal. I know alot of people were experiencing flickering problems, but I haven't.

I am waiting on the trunk leds to come in.... once they do pics will come up for sure....

Sorry, I should have clarified, but you answered my question.

The reason I asked was because I have a ceiling fan in my house, The light is nothing but a panel of SMT LED's. When you try to dim it, it flickers. The manual for it said that dimming the light could cause damamge. I was just asking to be on the safe side. Thanks for the answer!

Nice Konig!! Good choice in bulbs!! I like the dome light and map light SMT LED you went with. It's fun I bet it's gonna look great!

I know I have been promising pictures, but soon enough. Just waiting on a set of trunk LED's. Plus being busy at work doesn't help! Everyone should post pics if possible just to help some of us out on the color schemes to go with...

For sure post pics when you do. I just got all LEDs in and installed so hopefully during the week I will get a chance to get pics in..

License Plate Cover:
Use a thin flat head screwdriver and wedge it between the insert of the white cover and the black plastic shroud it sits in. Pry forward and pull down with the screw driver. The plastic cover should come right out.

Glove Box Light:
The Plast cover is set in on clips. Pry on all four sides seperately to make sure that the clips are loose, pull the cover off. Reach behind where you can feel the socket and wiring harness, then turn counter clockwise as another bulb fixture pull out.

Let me know if you run into any problems.

ALSO make sure not to force anything as it can always turn for the worst.....

bulbs came in today and i installed them all!

some bad news: the leds for the map lights that i bought, http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...39230231248247, sadly did not fit inside the opening for the map light fixture. So instead i switched them into the doors (which had red leds already, just less powerful ones) so now i have some very very bright door courtesy lights!

but the rest is good news: the red dome light looks great, the white license plate led that i put in lights up the license plate very well and also lights up the ground a good amount as well haha. i put the remaining white led bulb that i had in the trunk and now the trunk looks very well lit as well. the parking light bulbs are not as bright as i thought they would be, but they look very good at night and match the headlights nicely.

i will take pics hopefully tomorrow

btw, is there any replacement light for the bulbs that light up on the sun visor's mirror? they have that yellowish light that i wish was white...haha.

ALRIGHTY! took a lot of pics tonight!

I really really focused on trying to show the lights how they look like in reality. I didnt want to make them overbright like in some pictures ive seen here. I took these and since i have seen my own lights in person i can tell you that what you see in the pictures is close to the actual brightness of the lights in reality. well..close enough i guess, i tried as best as i could haha.

Here they are

the red looks really nice when it reflects off the paint

The license plate light creates a pool of light on the floor with a straightedged ending of light near the car. it looks really nice and REALLY bright in the dark! (these pics were taking right inbetween that time where theres no sun but its not dark out either)

the trunk is a little more lit up than the pictures shows. at night everything is perfectly visible and the LED looks even brighter.

this is the parking light bulb i bought. it isnt an LED, its an actual bulb. This picture is the one picture where the bulb showed its true color, or how it looks like in real life. the rest dont quite show it right for some reason. it looked yellow in some of the pictures (in person it has no trace of any yellow at all)

these last two were taken at the end of the mini photoshoot, when it was darker outside. as you can see, the darker it gets outside the more bright the LEDs look. This is apparent in the pictures and in person as well. its like i walk into hell everytime i step in my car haha, its awesome. oh and some of the red LEDs look orange around the bulb area. This is just the camera being lame, in person there is no orange at all, only red.
