AutoExe makes the same rim for a wide variety of Mazda's. Even the new 6/CX-5 rim replacement. I do wish they had an option to have two tone leather like the factory red and black. Of course with much higher quality leather and urethane color finish...

Meh, I love my floor mats. I'll admit, the red border did come out a bit thicker than I expected or wanted. Each&their own

Here's a little sample practice I did to trim my e-brake in leather. Anything with velcro looks "shoddy" and it should be put on the right way. Trimmed up a fitting piece of leather, and stitched after this practice.

Steering wheel covered in suede. First time doing a steering wheel. Granted I wouldn't do it again had someone paid me $400 in labor for the 28 man hours spent working on it. Thankfully AutoExe offers a CUSTOM pre-trimmed leather cover that fits just as well as mine and OEM for under $200. They also have a completely rim replacement sold by MazMart for around $400 which is am ABSOLUTE deal.

If you're going to do it, do it right and have it look OEM. I do like your center console covers though.

Oh you're totally right, now I see where you're coming from.

Yeah, the wheel cover was my first-ever attempt at stitching leather.
Now that I know its not that difficult, I do intend to revisit the other parts.

Wouldn't have wrapped the wheel at all if the previous owner hadn't shredded the surface with his wedding band -_-

I gotta say though, I'm most fond of the center console over the rest of it all.

That one is done right with a stretch and tuck

I have the center console cover as well and really like it. I have the one for the back as well but have not actually gotten around to putting it on.

I tried to get them to make armrest pads like the SII have... but they said no.

Wheel looks damn nice.

How are you liking the AppRadio? You use iPhone or Android?

Iphone 5, and I hate it. It was flawless with and Iphone 4, the update screwed everything up. I keep it in the hopes of another software update and that I can view my Dash Command display on it which is nice.

I have yet to meet an AppRadio owner that actually loves it. I try to steer my customers away from it, but they had some damn aggressive pricing right before the AppRadio 3 came out. People see that huge gorgeous screen (it is really nice) with that cheap price tag below it and are sold. Well..... the young kids are. The older folks change their mind when they hear it doesn't have a CD player. lol (AppRadio 3 does BTW).

I love it in concept, I utilize pandora and my Ipod for all my music. I never needed CD's. So in theory it is perfect, unfortunately Pioneer really flopped on the integration, connectivity is horrid. I constantly have to re-plug my phone in as features become locked. The update ruined the google maps, you now have to download a map application.

They took something so simple and elegant and smashed into pieces trying to sophisticate it.

If it aint broke, don't fix it.

Just to give you an idea of how hard/painful it is to stitch like that... That thread was white when he started.

Just as a heads up, you'll need some leather bonding glue for the rear one, i does not like to play well

So the Shoe Goo will not work on the rear too well? What's the difference from the front one?

Yeah, shoe goo works great, provided you have clamps and big rubber bands to help it set right overnight. I couldn't remember if I'd already mentioned it by name already

but for real, it took me twice as long as the front

I tried putting the front one on last night. I got so frustrated with it not fitting properly, that I just gave it up. No matter how much I pulled, stretched or massaged the leather, it would not sit on all four corners properly. Either I got a crappy cover or I suck at this particular install. I'd like to believe it's the former.

If I remember correctly mine wasn't super hard, but did require a fair amount of man handling to get it down on the sides properly. That was a long time ago though. I still haven't done the back yet. Maybe this evening...

Mah man, you have to return that. It was kind of a process to get it on, but it should fit like a glove. You did take apart the console, right?

Oh yeah, definitely took everything apart. Problem is, I've had the covers since January, so not sure if I can return them. I guess it wouldn't hurt to send an email to topgaiters.

Those covers are notorious for fitting like crap. I have never seen that stuff done well. Most are able to get the front cover to fit somewhat well but generally it still looks bad.

I think mine fits pretty good, I will get pictures of it tonight and post it.

EDIT** I checked my album on here to see if it was in there and as you can clearly see from this picture, it looks great...

But I will try to get some actual pictures tonight...

Hmm, I don't know then. The corners on mine do look a little uneven, so it's probably just a bad piece. Yours did look good when I saw it last weekend, and the other guy on this thread has both covers that look good. I'll see if they can replace it for me.
