I am taking mine to a store that does vinyl work and they are going to wrap mine in a black tape that will match the piano black finish on the radio and door handle panels. I just have to take them off and drop them off at the store. I'll post pics as soon as it is done.

Kromix--are you from GA? I was up at Bahama Breeze (North Point area) and noticed 2 8s in the parking lot next to Bahama Breeze. I parked my nordic green near ya'll. I looked in the silver/titanium one (cant remember) and saw an interior like yours (the shift condom and leather protectant all over the place). This is just kinda weird!

that was probably me, since the picture he is using is mine. was the titanium way away from bahama breeze, in the empty lot next door. cause if it was, it was me.

How about just repainting it?
Or better yet,
Buy some carbon fiber vinyl and applying it over the scratched part? It would probably cost less then 20 bucks.

Remove the front and rear console units and have them professionally painted gloss black (or whaterver) with a couple of coats of clearcoat. I'm planning on doing that myself in the near future. It's a bit strange that they were not originally painted to match the piano black dash units.

If I remember correctly, there is a DIY that includes instructions on how to remove these units.

I contacted finishlineperformance (www.finishlineperformance.com). here is what Tommy responded:

$121 is the console frame between the seats

My only doubt is if $121 is just one or the pair... But now we know they have them.

Not a problem if you know what you're doing. Remember, this is plastic you are painting so make sure the paint you use is compatible and make sure you prep the surface properly. Don't ask me what "properly" means. I'm no paint expert, but I know that surface preparation is the key to a good paint job.

Personally, I would tend to let the experts do the painting. Shouldn't cost much if you remove the parts and all they have to do is prep and paint them, and give them back to you for installation.
