Angry interior wiring harness

hey has anyone done any wiring/rewiring on their RX-8? I need to repair some wiring for my power/heated seats and Navi system and am told by my Mazda stealership that individual connectors are not available but they would gladly sell me a wiring harness for $2400. Who out there has some advice to offer?(or has a wiring harness for sale? I have part #s)

May want to start canvassing your local auto wreckers. If Mazda doesn't part out subsets of the interior wiring (which is really bad form, by the way), then I think your only source for bits and pieces is going to be other RX-8s. You may check with the fellow whose RX-8 burnt up the other day...perhaps he has what you need still intact.

Otherwise, you may be able to repair the wiring yourself...what exactly is the nature of the damage?

vandalism/theft-no insurance coverage. Yeah, I've been in contact with a few people parting out 8s but there are something like 8-10 different wiring harnesses for the car dependind on how it's equipped. I could splice wires but I'm worried about keeping my factory warranty intact. I still need to get the recall done for the passenger side air bag rewire and so they'll be going through the seat wires. so....
