Intermitent Radio Loss

Intermitent Radio Loss
Bought my RX8 used a few days after christmas, the other day I went to install a Sirius FM Direct adapter. Pulled up the center console top (where shifter is) and noticed the plug for the lights on the P/R/N/D/M was unplugged. Continued removal of the cig lighter tray, then the head unit. Pulled it out, disconnected everything, and happened to find an unplugged audiolink ipod adapter sitting back there. Neat.
Install the FM Direct adapter, I plugged the audiolink into the only place it could plug into, and put everything back (including the unplugged lights). Worked fine for that day. Now the Head unit will power on, I can scroll through stations, change volume but there is no sound (when I have my sirius turned on, if i put volume to max i can barely hear it). also the cd player doesnt work, push the cd button nothing, i can eject the CD, push it back in, and it cuts off the radio for a second like it wants to play then goes back to the radio.
I've disconnected the lights around the shifter again, and it works sometimes, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the radio works, but not the cd player or the ipod adapter.
Am I trying to draw too much out of the head unit? I guess there could be a reason why it was unplugged in the first place. I haven't tried unplugging the audio link and seeing if it acts normal yet.

Deals on wheels
welcome!
You have a interesting problem I have never heard before
I'm going to say the shifter light was left unplugged on accident. I've taken my dash apart about a dozen times and still forget sometimes
As for you problem I would remove the iPod thing and see if that fixes it - that's the only answer I can give you.. But if it works you can sell the iPod thing!

Went ahead and disconnected the ipod adapter, everything works now (used that time to run my cables behind the radio instead of in front for my sirius, looks clean now).
I checked the audiolink out, it requires firmware 9.55 or greater in the head unit, mine is 9.55 so dunno.
