Just for a cross reference. The Axxess box does support the LCD text display as you guys have been looking for. I am 99% sure it works for XM and 100% sure it works for the iPod. There are a couple links in there with places to buy it. The eBay link in the thread is sold but you can get the same stuff from here...

ok i've been looking at the axxess one as well but a few concerns..does it charge the ipod as it's plugged in? and since it plugs into the md/tape input on the stereo, does that mean you don't lose sirius? i saw one kit with lcd display that took the sirius port, and i don't want to lose satellite.

 

It does charge the iPod while it is plugged in.

My understanding is that the Sirus Satelite unit plugs into the CD Changer port, so it would be fine. If for some reason it does, you can plug it into the axxess box which has an autoswitch in it.

 

Hmmm... this is an old thread and I'm hoping you guys have all installed these and have figured them out. I just installed my XM/ Ipod unit this weekend and it works great so far, but it's a real pain in the @$$ finding channels. Has anyone figured out any easy way to store favorite stations so you don't have to scan thru 150 stations to get to the one you want? Any other shortcuts would be welcome too.

 

Have the heat related issues been resolved with thing yet? Also, what do you think of the sound quality? I have the Neolink and the sound quality is horrible.

 

well i cant make my mind up if i want to get the axxess box or the Audio Link, i am wanting to hook my ipod up and watch videos on my nav, i know the audio link will work with it, but has any one used the axxess box and ipod video with the nav yet?
