Ipod mod help.

hey all.
i have read through alot of pages in this forum and found some help with selecting an ipod for my 04 rx8 gt w/bose. when i bought the car there was a dension icelink v2 in there. but when i put my, my boss, and 4 other guys ipods in the dock they all did the same thing. played for appx 25 seconds than shut the radio off (like if you pushed the center button to shut it off) and it shut my ipod off. Now i work for ccity and know a whole lot about car audio, so i popped the radio out. check all wires. tested them all. unplugged and replugged everything. same problem. email dension about 50 times and got weak responses at best. also i know when u connect your ipod into the dock it should say dension and the version software....none of the ipods i tried did that. I did upload all the new firmware to mine and i have the most current itunes update. still the same problem. id rather not have to buy a new one so if anyone has ideas let me know...........My company uses Metra products and I am thinking about going to get the Axxess Brand Parts and ipod box but i havent heard good nor bad things about them so any help here would be great too...........Finally i dont want to soder on a connection like i saw on the one site where the guy did it himself. My hands shake too bad.

You work for Circuit City and can't solder?

And sorry, haven't ran across a problem like that before. Although I will note that the Audiolink has issues with iPods that had NEWER firmware updates. In other words, once I knew my iPod worked fine, I refused to allow iTunes to update it. Audiolink has since released a newer version of their product and all iPods seem to work with it. (Sent me the upgrade for free without me sending anything to them)

I didn't intend for that to be a joke or an insult. It was pretty much an honest question.
